Student Spotlight: Innocent Seleman

101_1873

Welcome to this week’s Student Spotlight blog! From all of us at Agape House, we pray that you have had a blessed week. Tonight I would like to tell you about Innocent Seleman. He is a sweet nine year old boy from Mbayni (where a lot of our children are from). He lives with both of his parents and three siblings. Thankfully, Innocent was not introduced to Agape House because of begging on the streets; he simply had to drop out of primary school in the second grade to due a lack of financial support. Now, let us read some responses from Innocent himself!

What is your favorite thing about going to Agape House?

His favorite thing is the free education and a chance to learn about the Word of God.

Tell us, what have you learned at Agape House School this week?

He learned how to do multiplication in math.

What would you like to be when you grow up?

Innocent wants to be a doctor so that he can treat the sick.

What is your favorite game to play?

Soccer (a common favorite amongst many of our kids)!

What five words best describe you?

Patient. Intelligent. Optimistic. Courageous. Prayerful.

Who is your best friend?

Daud Lipenga.

What is the nicest thing you have ever done for someone else?

He bought his friend Kamba Puffs (similar to Cheetos).

What is something that you know about Jesus?

Jesus is the Son of God. He is a healer.

If you could give one gift to every child in the world, what would it be?

He would give a gift of clothes and food to every child.

Heavenly Father, thank you so much for a chance to get to know Innocent. We know that you love him immensely. Help him to experience your love more fully and allow us all to love him more and more as well. We are so glad that he has not had to experience begging on the streets and has had a chance to return to school at Agape House. Provide for him all the days of his life. Amen

You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety.- Job 11:18
