Yamikani Edwin is Agape House’s Student Spotlight of the week. He is a thirteen year old boy who lives in Mbyani Malawi. Yamikani has had to work on the streets for nine years now and was unable to continue schooling after third grade. He is the eldest son of five children. Let us move beyond his past circumstances to his life today.
What is your favorite thing about going to Agape House?
He enjoys the Word of God that he is learning along with the free education that is offered to him.
What have you learned at Agape House this week?
Adding in mathematics, vocabulary words, and nouns. (Sounds like a full week of learning!)
What would you like to be when you grow up? Why?
He wants to be a pastor. He admires when pastors preach the Word of God.
What is your favorite game to play?
Soccer.
What five words best describe you?
Prayerful. Friendly. Patient. Humble. Courageous.

What is the happiest memory that you have?
He received a gift after winning a soccer game.
What is the nicest thing you have ever done for someone?
One day he met a young man on the street who was hungry, so he gave him money to buy food.
What do you imagine that heaven looks like?
Heaven is a beautiful place full of stars.
What is one thing you know about Jesus?
He is always good. (Amen!)
If you could give one gift to every child in the world, what would you give?
Clothes and a Bible.
Lord, we praise you that indeed, like Yamikani said, you are always good. Thank you for the life you have given Yamikani. We thank you for his love for you and your Word. Thank you for providing him free education through Agape House. We ask that it would bless him and encourage him as he goes about his life. Please bring him peace, comfort, and provide for all of his needs that have remained unmet thus far.
